WELCOME TO INSTITUTO CUENCA
Cuenca (its full name is Santa Ana de los Cuatro Ríos de Cuenca) is a fascinating city in the Andean highlands of Ecuador, replete with traditional customs and cutting-edge culture.
The center of the city has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to the wealth of exceptionally beautiful and well-preserved colonial buildings. These buildings are full of life, including a lively night life, with aspects attractive to people of all ages.
The school itself is in the popular neighborhood El Vergel, close to beautiful Parque Paraiso, Quinta Simon Bolivar and the 400-year-old street of the ironmongers (Calle de las Herrerias).

OUR MISSION
To promote an understanding of Ecuadorean culture and encourage inter-cultural understanding through teaching Spanish.
This will be accomplished by the teachers motivating students through their methodologies, techniques and teaching materials as well as through activities with different people. This will allow students to immerse themselves in practical Spanish.
We offer a variety of scenic walks and hikes with a guide to fill you in on the local history and culture.
